Motvind (upwind) was one of Sweden’s hardest bands in the 70s. They combined heavy, Anglo-Saxon-ish rock with Swedish lyrics – autobiographical ones from an often shady life. To the delight of many and the outrage of some. Their debut ”Känn dig blåst” (Consider yourself screwed, 1976) was a success that was followed by five more albums until 1983, with combined sales of several hundred thousand copies. After 1984 Motvind have performed only sporadically, and this marks these classic suburban rebels’ debut at SRF.

Just when you think Avenged Sevenfold have done it all, the band have gone and surprised fans with another curveball…
After teasing The Stage Experience earlier in the week, the Huntington Beach titans have expanded their brilliant latest album, The Stage, with a cover of Mexican folk song, Malagueña Salerosa (La Malagueña), complete with Spanish-language vocals. Wow.
“We’ve said all along that we want The Stage to be a different and exciting listening experience,” says vocalist M. Shadows. “For us, the idea of turning an album into a living piece of art and adding new installations is really intriguing. It expands the journey.”

Slipknot have announced a brand-new 90-minute documentary, Day Of The Gusano.
The ‘Knot will be premiering this incredible, one-night-only spectacle on September 6, and it will document the band’s first-ever visit to Mexico City. Check out the trailer below, and head on over to dayofthegusano.com next month to find out ticketing and event info.
